NHF has started working at the grass root level to understand the real concerns of the people and the extent of support that are able to avail from the various programs that Government is undertaking. The biggest reason being lack of awareness and understanding about these programs and the benefits individuals can avail from these programs.

In order to bring in the awareness among the masses, we have started counseling's in the slums and the Below Poverty Line families in and around Rajendranagar Mandal, Ranga Reddy District. ( Hyderabad ). Since the start of this counseling sessions on 22 nd Sep, 2008 . We have joined directly 40 students in 3 different schools of Rajendranagar Mandal. These schools are Hyderguda Upper Primary School, Rambagh MPP School and Attapur MPP School .

In today's selfish world where every one works for their own selves, it's a great hope to see organization like Neohumanist Foundation taking a lead to support the poor and destitute children. This humane task of Neohumanist Foundation will certainly encourage every child and their poor families to continue studies in spite of the non availability of the financial sources for their families. Though its a little effort from this NGO for these children, but it will take these children a long way into their future.

I place on record my appreciation and wish them good luck in their future endeavor towards providing basic study materials to the children's in need and wish its all-round prosperity and progress.

Shri. SATYANARAYAN REDDY, District Education Officer, Ranga Reddy.

In the words of the Head Master of these schools

" Neohumanist Foundation has added value to our efforts for education. The books and clothes distribution they have conducted on 6 th Sep 2008 has created a possibility for the many poor children to take up education. Children here have got the scope to practice what they listen in the classes. They have now bags, similar books, and similar uniform irrespective of where they are from, what their parents are doing. About 50 children have joined after this initiative of Neohumanist Foundation. In spirit Neohumanist Foundation is giving the scope to every one to grow alike, learn alike. The support they are extending to the families below poverty line and in real need is applaud able. We thank and extend our whole hearted cooperation in any of the activities they do in the future."

Shri. PADMA RAO, Head Master, Hyderguda Upper Primary School.

"The turn out to schools after the books and uniform distribution on 6 th sep, 2008 , event has shown a tremendous change in the way the children think and the way the parents have started thinking. We have seen a surge of students since this event. There are about 45 children added to my school and 2 special cases where Neohumanist Foundation has shown its commitment is really a great effort. They have got one child rid of brutal working in a hotel, and supported them with grains. The other case of - has made her children come to school and also able to hope she will get a shelter shortly."

Shri. PRABHAKAR, Head Master, Attapur MPP (Harijan wada) School.

" NEOHUMANIST FOUNDATION has given the school with charts, books, uniform and plates to eat. This has allowed every child to have their own belongings and every one have every thing required to study. The parents are showing interest now in ensuring they send their children regularly as they don't have to worry about purchasing the very expensive stationary according to their financial situation. We have seen 25 children admitted to our school after this distribution program."

Shri. VENKATESH, Head Master, Rambagh MPP School .

The Story of Krishnaveni family

" Krishnaveni and Krisha who are migrants from Karnataka , India , are one of the those poor couples with 3 children who struggle for existence and feed their stomachs. Krishna is a fortune teller and his wife Krishnaveni is maid servant and some times does some odd jobs for daily wages. Krishna and Krishnaveni's parents have inherited them with illiteracy and poverty and they have carried themselves with this inheritance all their life. They have though to educate their children, but the cost of living and the survival needs have forced them to send one of their children Sai Kumar to a nearby hotel to work for more than 16 hours a day and get paid barely anything.

Neohumanist Foundation has observed Sai Kumars pathetic situation and relieved him away from the Child Labour (hotel) and joined him in the Attapur Primary School . After 6 weeks of his school, his health has improved and he has started living a life as the other children. To suffice the family and also to ensure the child is not sent back to work, Neohumanist Foundation on a temporary basis has provided them with rice and pulses for their survival.

Sai Kumars both brothers are also now coming to school one in 2 nd standard and the other in 1st standard. NHF is looking for a permanent assistance program under its Social Projects program to provide a permanent source of income for these families."

Chandra Leela is a resident of Attapur. She is a widower of Late. Sudershan, Sudershan died due to serious illness caused due to excessive drinking of alcohol this created tuberculosis, kidney failure with depression in him killed himself drowning in a well.

Now she has a totally dilapidated house, 4 children, with an earning of about Rs. 1500/- month, she is forced to live in a rented accommodation which is also ready to collapse any time, because of this acute poverty and helpless ness she stopped sending her 2 sons and 1 daughter to school as she could not provide them with the note books and other necessities that are required for the education.
